This project was directed and executed by our founders prior to the establishment of the Pool Studio, while operating under a previous corporate structure. All creative credits belong to the individual creators. Our creative collaboration with BBC StoryWorks {BBC's branded content studio} meant building a film that could carry both narrative weight and a strong visual identity. The challenge wasn’t just storytelling, it was developing something that felt purposeful while still visually engaging and distinct. The visual language combined structured compositions with expressive use of light, textures, depth and seamless transitions. This allowed the film to shift in tone without losing cohesion. Rather than relying on a purely editorial approach, our founders treated motion as a way to guide attention and shape the narrative, without overpowering the beautiful illustrations, and the controlled color palette. The final result is a film that combines layered storytelling with a design-driven approach, and where motion plays a supporting role in shaping how the narrative is experienced.
