Finally sharing it — our Nomad Jazz film, screened at OFFF Barcelona 🎬 Both expats and locals gave it a warm welcome. This year we picked a painfully familiar topic — moving to a new city. The characters are us. We moved a year and a half ago and collected a full “bullshit bingo” of challenges. Housing, paperwork, rebuilding a life from scratch. Finding a flat in Barcelona is a three-month quest 🫠 No wonder the joke about “pesimista” landed — our loving rename for the local rental site idealista. If you don’t live in Spain, you probably missed the fly in the middle of the film. Cita — the appointment you need to book for pretty much any government service. Catching one is its own sport. 🪰 That’s exactly what the film is about. We made it in a month. Stretched from last year’s 30 seconds to a full minute — and pulled it off alongside other projects. Friends showed up for the screening — picnic on the lawn, drinks in hand 🍺 The happiest one was our daughter, jumping and shouting that mom, dad, and — of course — Kira herself were on screen. The festival itself was a blast. New friends, new collaborators, new conversations everywhere. Our daughter’s toy camera, the one that prints photos on receipt paper, turned out to be the networking hack of the week. 📸 OFFF was one of the main reasons we moved to Barcelona. And being part of it — pure joy. #OFFF #Barcelona #PAVS #Nomad #Family
